Minutes, Publications, and Files 1923-1965; 1923-1962.

The records include conference minutes for the American Lutheran Mission in Liberia (1923-1947), the Lutheran Mission in Liberia (1948-1964), and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Liberia (1947-1965), as well as minutes for the Executive Council of the Lutheran Mission in Liberia and the Executive Committee of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Liberia. Minutes are arranged chronologically. There are copies of publications, which include many pamphlets, as well as copies of a small periodical called Muhlenberg Tidings. Reports include several fact-finding trips by mission executives as well as financial reports. There is a small section of general correspondence arranged chronologically, along with cover letters sent to the field. The subject files, arranged alphabetically, are also primarily composed of correspondence on a variety of subjects, including individual people, committees, and institutions. Also included in this series are undated architectural drawings for a proposed Lutheran Hostel at Phebe Liberia, 1955 drawings for a classroom unit for the Totata Elementary School, and undated drawings for a proposed office building located at Sinkor, Liberia. These drawings are in an oversized folder located in the mapcase area and labeled with the series ULCA 19/4/1.
